5 Ways to View PowerPoint Presentation on iPad

Do you have a ton of PowerPoint presentations you want to view on your iPad? Playing PowerPoint presentation on iPad is wanted for most iPad users. Even though your iPad can not play PowerPoint directly, there are some simple yet not direct ways to have your PowerPoint slideshows displayed on your iPad. Let’s walk through the following 4 ways below to show you how to watch PowerPoint Presentation using your iPad.

Export PowerPoint slides as pictures

iPad is equipped with a slideshow photo viewer, then converting your PowerPoint slideshow to pictures is a good way to view it on iPad. The most common supported image formats by iPad are .jpg, .bmp, .gif, and .png. The following steps let you save your slideshow as pictures: 1. Open up your PowerPoint slideshow. 2. Export the slides using File > Save As... 3. At the pop-up, select the 'Save as type", and choose "*.jpg". 4. When PowerPoint asks whether you want to export all slides, choose "Every Slide". Then your slides are now exported. PowerPoint will tell you where the still pictures have been stored. By default, they are named "Slide x.JPG". After that, you can transport the pictures to the Image folder of iPad. The limitations of this solution is that no animations, no transitions, and no sound and video clips will be preserved when displaying the presentation.

An improved solution for this is using Picture Link to make your ppt interactive. with Picture link, you can easily adjust the playing order as you want.

Convert PowerPoint presentation to video formats for Playing it on iPad

I think this is the best way to play PowerPoint presentation on iPad. Many PowerPoint to video converters provide the smart feature to convert PowerPoint presentation to iPad supported video formats (.m4v, .mp4, and .mov) that retain all the features of the original PowerPoint files like animations, transitions, audios, and video clips.

Acoolsoft PPT to Video Pro is such a converter that you can convert your presentation to .mp4 or .mov video for iPad. It also enables users to convert presentations to videos then let you transfer the video presentation for viewing on iPad.

I like this “loseless” way that help me view the video presentation on my iPad. It displays the presentation on iPad as the same as the original presentation file, and you will like it too!

Transfer PowerPoint to PDF files

iPad is a superior platform to read PDF files in a tablet-style format. There are quite a few programs like CloudReaders and Easy PDF that are designed for viewing PDF files on iand. Transferring PowerPoint presentations to PDF files may be another way to view PPT on iPad. Besides the programs mentioned above, Apple iPad supports also viewing PDF as an attachment via Mail application.

There are many free PowerPoint to PDF converters online to create PDF files from PowerPoint presentation, such as
http://www.freepdfconvert.com/http://www.pdfonline.com/, and Anypdftools PowerPoint to PDF converter. However, if there are many animations, audios and video in your presentation, it may not be a good way to retain all the effects and objects. All the animations and transitions will disappear, not to mention the audio and video clips.

Forward PowerPoint attachment to MightyMeeting for viewing it on iPad

Forward PowerPoint attachments to MightyMeeting also let you view your presentation on your iPad. This app can be used to view the slides and project them via iPad's VGA output. You can also share the slides remotely.

View PowerPoint presentations on iPad via presentation sharing sites

The lack of Flash support is an obstacle for many presentations sharing websites that use Adobe’s technology for multimedia support to show the presentation on iPad, but there are some sites features compatibility for the iPad, such as authorSTREAM.com and DocStoc.com.
Take authorSTREAM.com for example, it is a free web-based platform that offers the new edition for PowerPoint presentation sharing service compatible with iPad. for sharing PowerPoint presentations.

For viewing your PowerPoint slide show on iPad, you can upload your PowerPoint slide show on authorSTREAM.com. When you open the URL provided by authorStream on iPad, you can view your presentation normally that has been converted to the iPad compatible format. You can also download your presentations as video, and view them on iPad. This way is good for presentations that do not include videos and audios files that are larger than 50,000KB. It will retain the animations of the presentation but not all the audios and videos.

iPad Successor Likely to Be Delayed Until June

Apple is likely to release the next version of its iPad tablet PC a few months later than originally expected, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a report by Taiwan's Yuanta Securities.

The report said due to delayed production at manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry of Taiwan, the device's launch is forecast to be postponed to June.

Earlier this month the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple began production of the new iPad equipped with a built-in camera and a faster processor. It is likely to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor.

Apple's new MacBook Pros rumored with 16GB SSD boot disk, white model could be axed

With the expected launch of new MacBook Pro models on Thursday, a new report claims Apple's hardware will come with 16GB solid-state drives to quickly boot the operating system, and also says the company plans to discontinue its white polycarbonate entry-level MacBook.

Citing a "trusted source," French Apple site MacGeneration reported Tuesday a number of alleged details about Apple's forthcoming MacBook Pro refresh. The site claimed that Apple sees its $999 11-inch MacBook Air as its new entry-level notebook, replacing the current $999 plastic MacBook.

As for the new MacBook Pros, it was said that the notebooks will feature 16GB Go SSD mSATA drives that will store the Mac OS X operating system. This separate internal drive would allow the devices to boot faster from solid state memory, much like with the new all-flash MacBook Air models. Similar details were claimed in a separate reporton Monday.

The 13-inch model will also reportedly abandon the Core 2 Duo processor and make the move to Intel's Core i3 chip. The report also said that the 13-inch MacBook Pro will also have a screen resolution of 1,440-by-900 pixels, and will feature three USB ports.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is also believed to offer 12 hours of battery life, and will allegedly weigh 200 grams less. And it said users will have the option to add a matte screen to the high-end 13-inch MacBook Pro. Prices for the two 13-inch models were said to be €1,199 and €1,499.

On the larger 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro models, MacGeneration claims that Apple will offer customers the option to replace the SuperDrive with a solid-state drive. The 15-inch model was said to be lighter at 2.3kg, while the 17-inch model will weigh 2.65kg. It also said the 15-inch MacBook Pro will offer 10 hours of battery life.

In addition, it was said that the 17-inch MacBook Pro will have 8GB of RAM, while the 15-inch model was said to have a screen resolution of 1,680 by 1,050 pixels.

Finally, the site heard from another source that Apple is expected to debut "new technology" in the new MacBook Pro models, a tidbit that implies the inclusion of Intel's high-speed Lightpeak technology. Last week, a separate report claimed that Apple is on the verge of announcing the new connector for its Mac lineup.

MacGeneration has a respectable track record with Apple-related product leaks. Last year, ahead of the annual Worldwide Developers Conference, the site revealed details about the Safari 5 Web browser before it was announced.

Apple products appeared in 30% of all top movies in 2010

Apple product placements appeared 30 percent of the top films of 2010, more than any other brand, including Nike, Chevrolet and Ford, which all tied for second place with placement in 24 percent of the top movies.

Placement of Apple's Macs, iPhones and iPods and other products in films resulted in the company being cited for the "2010 Award for Overall Product Placement" by Brandcameo.

Arranging to put its products in conspicuous sight in films is nothing new for the company, which has maintained the top spot among brands over the past decade, with cameos in 112 of the top 334 most popular movies in America since 2001.

Macs have conspicuously shown up in films ranging from StarTrek IV, where character Montgomery Scott goes back in time to 1986 and uses a Macintosh Plus to show engineers how to build transparent aluminum, to Independence Day in 1996, where a PowerBook is used to upload a lethal virus into the system of attacking aliens.

Apple has also prominently placed its products in other mediums, including TV shows such as the set of the long runningSeinfield series, where Jerry Seinfeld's Macintosh evolved in the background throughout the 90s.

The report by BrandChannel noted that Apple's placements have scaled down over the last two years however, but not because Apple is giving up on placements. Instead, the report noted, "other brands are taking a page from its playbook and aping Apple's product placement strategy. Films that previously would have been dominated by Apples are now filled with HP, Dell and Sony Vaio logos."

It added that Sony Pictures has worked to rid its movies of any Apple logos, substituting its own Sony Vaio products instead. It also noted that some films have depicted Apple's products even when they were under contract to promote another brand, such as "Sex in the City 2," which depicted both a MacBook and iPhone despite the film's sponsorship deal with HP.

Apple will reportedly hold iPad 2 event on March 2

Apple is reportedly set to hold a media event to unveil its next-generation iPad on Wednesday, March 2, in San Francisco, Calif.

Citing multiple sources, Kara Swisher of All Things D revealed the date on Tuesday. Though a venue has not been named, it is expected to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, where previous Apple media events have been held.

Given that the event is a little over a week away, Apple is expected to send out invitations to the event soon. Other details on the event, including potential details on the rumored "iPad 2," were not given.

The first-generation iPad was announced in late January of 2010, ahead of a U.S.-only launch of the Wi-Fi model in early April. The 3G model and international launches came out over the following weeks and months, on its way to sales of 15 million units in the calendar year.

The iPad 2 is widely expected to be thinner and lighter with a faster processor, more RAM, and a camera for FaceTime video chat. It is also expected to have advanced graphics capabilities to allow playback of high-definition video and superior 3D graphics.

As onlookers await the iPad 2, speculation has already begun that Apple could unveil a different version of the iPad, perhaps with more features, as early as this September. The release of a so-called iPad 3 would align the device with the annual announcement of new iPods just before the holiday buying season.

Earlier Tuesday, AppleInsider exclusively reported that Apple has scheduled a "all hands" meeting for its retail employees in the coming days. Employees were asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement, and those who do not sign cannot partake in the meetings, expected to be held at individual stores on Sunday.
